The short version
QuantPit is built local-first. Your practice progress, streaks, and detailed test history live in your own browser. An account is optional and stores only your email and subscription status. The free 80-in-8 benchmark stores an anonymous aggregate result so it can calculate useful percentiles; it does not store your answers or identity. We set analytics cookies only if you accept them, and Stripe handles payments.
What stays in your browser
Solved questions, marks, review schedule, XP, streaks, game and test history, your interview date, and your membership flag are stored in your browser's local storage under the key quantpit-v1. This detailed practice data never leaves your device unless a feature clearly says otherwise. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Anonymous benchmark results
When you complete the free 80-in-8 benchmark, QuantPit stores one aggregate result containing the score, number correct, wrong and skipped, total duration, and category-level accuracy and average response time. This lets us calculate the score distribution and show percentiles after the sample is large enough.
The benchmark record does not contain your question answers, name, account, email address, IP address, cookie identifier, or user agent. It receives a random one-time attempt identifier only to prevent an accidental retry from creating a duplicate row. The record cannot be used to restore or identify your personal test history.
Accounts (optional)
You can use almost all of QuantPit without an account. If you sign in, you give us your email address and we send you a link to sign in. Authentication is provided by Supabase, which stores your email address, sign-in timestamps, and account role on our behalf.
If you subscribe, we also keep a subscription record linked to your account: its status, plan, renewal date, and Stripe customer reference. This is what lets your membership follow your email across devices. We do not store names or profile photos. To delete your account and these records, contact us through the address listed on the site.
Analytics (opt-in)
If you accept analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate behavior: which pages are visited, which questions are attempted, traffic sources, and broad device and country information. IP addresses are anonymized. We do not sell this data or use it to identify you personally. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics events are sent. You can change your choice by clearing site data.
Custom events are limited to product signals such as a question being graded, a daily result being shared, or an assessment being completed. These carry no personal identifiers. The anonymous 80-in-8 aggregate described above is operational benchmark data and is submitted independently of the optional Google Analytics consent setting.
Payments
Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. When you check out, you are taken to Stripe's secure hosted page; QuantPit never sees or stores your card details. Stripe's handling of your payment information is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy. We receive payment confirmation and subscription lifecycle updates to keep your membership current. Billing changes and cancellation happen in Stripe's customer portal, reachable from your account page.
Support messages
If you write to us through the contact page, we store your email address and message so we can reply and keep a record of the issue. Support messages are visible only to QuantPit's operators and are deleted on request.
